Hi, I'm Edson. I am a designer born in Brazil's midwest, currently living in New York. As UX Designer at IBM, I collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to design desirable experiences or new product strategies. I am part of the Office of the CIO, and I create experiences that help sellers excel at their work. I am the founder of the design consultancy Feel Science, which partners with cultural organizations to develop desirable interactive experiences. Previously I acted as UX researcher for Capital One, Design Lead at the Brazilian commerce company Lua and digital project manager for the film production company Mixer.
Before becoming a designer, I worked in content and communications. During that time, I directed the documentary "Sneakers - Stepping into Urban Culture" (2008), which was selected to premiere at the Sao Paulo International Film Festival (Mostra Internacional de Cinema de São Paulo) and was featured in various film festivals in Brazil. I also worked as the community manager for Flickr and was responsible for digital content for the Blue Man Group in Brazil.
I enjoy exploring the gap between imagination and making. My portfolio contains projects focused on problem-solving and artistic expression, with deliverables that range from wireframes to functional apps, video, physical prototypes, and installations.
